FAQ- Basic Printer Support

Is your direct to card plastic card printer giving you hassles? Here is a quick guide to a few typical problems you might be experiencing.

* My printer does not print when I click the print button

* My card comes out of the printer dirty or speckled. 

* My printer does not take in a card.

* My ribbon keeps on breaking. 

* There are horizontal lines on my print.

* My card printing software is not operating like it should. 

This guide would assist anyone with the following printers:
Datacard: SP25, SP35, SP75, SD260, SD360, CP30
Evolis:
Pebble, Dualys, Securion
Zebra:

 Problem 
 Things to Check
My printer does not print when I click the print button.-    Ensure sure that the printer is powered on and that the Power LED in on.
-    Make sure that the USB cable in plugged in properly.
-    Make sure that you have selected “Datacard Printer” (or your printer's brand name) when printing a card.
-    Ensure that the printer cover is properly closed.
  
My card comes out of the printer dirty or speckled. -    Check that the cards being inserted into the printer are clean.
-    Check if the cleaning roller is inserted into the front of the printer (Remember to replace the cleaning roller every time a ribbon is replaced with a new one.)
  
My printer does not take in a card.

-    Ensure that the cards are correctly inserted into the intake hopper.
-    Ensure that a cleaning cycle with the provided cleaning card is done before any ribbon is replaced. (If problem still persists, please contact CardsPlus on: 011 894 3914, to book your printer in for a service.)

  
My ribbon keeps on breaking. -    Ensure that good quality plastic cards are being used. (If you need to order more premium quality white plastic cards, please contact CardsPlus on, 011 894 3914).
-    Ensure that the colour setting in the printer toolbox have not been adjusted. (all colours must be set to 0).
  
There are horizontal lines on my cards-    Ensure that there are not foreign objects inside the printer.(If problem still persists please contact CardsPlus on, 011 894 3914 to book your printer in for a checkup.
  
My card printing software is not operating like it should. -    Please contact CardsPlus on, 011 894 3914 for telephonic support. (The following Software is sold and supported by CardsPlus: ID Flow, Lobby Track and Jolly Badger)
